Desert rose Adenium obesum 'India Deep Red'

DESCRIPTION: Small, slow growing shrub-like tropical with a large base called a caudex, used to store water. Flowers during spring through summer with rich scarlet single blooms.
USES: Ideal planted in dry garden beds alongside cacti and succulents. Suited to container planting too!
PLANTING: Plant in cacti mix or very free draining soil with some sand and small stones added to avoid root rot.
CARE: Water when the soil becomes dry, and a little more frequently during hotter months, over watering can cause wet feet. Leaves drop during winter when the plant is dormant, this is perfectly normal! Your plant will be bursting with life again in no time. Feed fortnightly using liquid fertiliser for best results.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.5 - 1 m H x 60 cm W. May grow up to 2 metres with plenty of patience!
YOUR PLANTS: These are tube-stock plants, young healthy plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. NOTE: These plants come in 'plugs' with the roots enclosed in netting instead of a pot. These can be potted up into bigger pots or into the ground as they are; or you can carefully snip away the net where possible, which can help the roots establish faster.
