Azalea indica 'Pride of Dorking'

APPEARANCE : Clusters of intensely coloured dark pink-red single blooms, flowers in late winter to early spring. Medium, upright growing, evergreen shrub.
USE FOR : Beautiful in groups as a mass display of flowering colour. Suitable for pots.
CLIMATE : Pride of Dorking is a "Sun Azalea" with high heat tolerance. Will tolerate light frost once established.
PLANTING : Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun.   Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5 m H x 1.5 m W.
