Hot pink-purple flowers are freckled with darker pink - it's really tricky to capture the true vibrancy of this colour! It's a little bluer in real life, closer to true purple. Neat compact plants, excellent for low hedging or feature planting. Will add a pop of bright colour in spring and an evergreen low-maintenance backdrop through the rest of the year.

Description

Azalea kurume 'Purple Glitters'

APPEARANCE : Hot pink-purple open blooms with darker freckles on the petals. Small-medium rounded evergreen shrub. Kurume type azaleas have smaller flowers, usually in clusters.
USE FOR : In groups as a mass display of flowering colour, or low hedge. Ideal size for pots.
CLIMATE : Will tolerate light frost once established.
PLANTING : Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun. Full sun is ok but not too exposed, hot and dry.
Plant in a moist free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Azaleas do not like drying out. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: approx 1m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
