Lovely native rainforest tree with cream flowers and cinnamon scented leaves. Ideal for feature planting, street trees, privacy hedges, native and wildlife gardens. Grows to only 3 metres so is ideal for smaller gardens.

Backhousia myrtifolia - grey myrtle, cinnamon myrtle

APPEARANCE: Small rainforest tree with small dark leaves and clusters of cream coloured flowers. Famous for its timber, bark and cinnamon scented foliage.
USE FOR: Ideal for streetscaping and feature planting in Australian Native garden settings. Attracts bird-life and pollinators to the garden.
CLIMATE : Tolerates a light frost once mature and established
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. Tolerates most soil types.
CARE: Mulch and water well upon planting. Continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and promote dense growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  3 m H x 2 - 4 m W.
