DESCRIPTION: Native dwarf shrub with golden cylindrical flowers autumn-early spring, with fragrance of honey. Lowgrowing spreading form of B. spinulosa. Rugged leaves with bright golden colour when young.USES: Is able to tolerate frost and salt spray. Birds adore these plants and kept busy for ages. Hedges and screens; great for landscaping.
PLANTING: Plant in a well drained in a sunny position for best flowering season.
CARE: Prune as required after flowering to maintain dense growth. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser during spring - Banksia are phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
