Phlebodium aureum - blue star fern

APPEARANCE: Large growing fern with upright wiggly blue-green fronds which develop more lobes as the plant matures. Plants may grow furry aerial roots, this is normal.
USES: Plant as a border or use for underplanting in shady locations. Perfect for containers too.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in a shaded location, indoor plants should be rotated for optimum health. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes.
CARE: Keep moist during dry periods. Ferns thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. Re-pot container plants only if they are outgrowing their pots. Protect from Frost.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60-90 cm H x 30-40 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
