Very cold hardy, very popular evergreen dwarf hedging, a compact variety of Japanese box.

Dense neat foliage, wide spreading, ideal for topiary and clipped low hedges, formal gardens and container planting.

Buxus microphylla 'Faulkner' - Japanese box

APPEARANCE : Small evergreen shrub with dark green glossy leaves and tight round foliage - 'microphylla' means small leaf. Compact denser form of Japanese box.
USE FOR : Low hedging plant for small gardens, topiary, and container growing.
CLIMATE : Extremely cold hardy to -15C.
PLANTING : Prepare soil with compost prior to planting. Plant in well drained soil, mulch well and water regularly for the first twelve weeks until the plant is established. More tolerant of acid soils than other Buxus.
CARE : Prune after flowering to maintain a tidy growth habit.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.5-1.5m H x 1m W.
