Camellia sasanqua 'Jean May'
DESCRIPTION: Beautiful soft-pink semi double flowers above rich glossy foliage.  Sasanqua Camellias have smaller leaves and denser foliage than their cousins the “Japonicas”.  They make a great display grouped together and are brilliant on their own. Evergreen shrubs to 2.5 m with beautiful displays of flowers in autumn and early winter.
USES: Ideal for screens, hedges, espaliers and large pots.
PLANTING: Sunny or partly shaded position with morning or afternoon sun. Shelter from strong winds and exposed sites.  Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter.  A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal added at the time of planting.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune after flowering and fertilise in Spring.  Plant in a soil which is medium to acidic.  Avoid lime.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2.5 m H x 2 m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These plants are tube-stock plants, with the benefit of being a young plant they will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 - 25 cm in height with a pot size of 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
