Solenostemon scutellarioides 'Rainbow Mixed' - coleus

APPEARANCE: Rainbow Coleus has some of the brightest leaf colour. Coleus thrive in moist areas in partial shade. They're perfect for contrast planting and adding colour to a dark corner. Suited to pots too.
PLANTING: Summer and Spring; Winter in northern areas of Australia. Sow seeds into seed raising mix, cover with a thin layer of soil and keep moist. When plants are approx 5-7cm tall transplant into free draining soil in a moist partly shaded location. Tolerates full sun although needs protection from the harsh afternoon sun.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and continue to provide water weekly or as required to avoid drying out. Well mulched garden beds will help retain moisture. Apply liquid fertiliser on planting for plant health. Tip prune when plants reach 20cm to encourage dense-bushy growth. If plants become leggy, simply trim by approx two thirds. Protect from harsh sunlight and frost.
