Description

Cordyline obtecta aka Cordyline kaspar
APPEARANCE : Green strappy foliage, usually grows to 2m but can reach 10m in the wild. Often branches, and has wider leaves than australis cordylines. Can retain its lower leaves to insulate the trunk.
USE FOR : Elegant, stately and architecturally pleasing, great for the accent garden. Grows well in containers.
CLIMATE : Surprisingly tolerant of cold and dry conditions but growth is restricted in these conditions. Should come through an overnight frost.
PLANTING : Cordylines are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade. Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting.
CARE : Remove any dead foliage and cut back in spring if they get tall. The plant will regrow from the stem.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2m+ H .
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
