Cordyline australis 'Red Star'
DESCRIPTION:  Cordylines are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade.  Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting.  Surprisingly tolerant of dry conditions but growth is restricted in these conditions.
USE IN: Great as a contrasting plant for a bold statement in the garden or massed together for a splash of colour. Suitable for pots.
LOCATION: Cordylines are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade.  Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting.  Surprisingly tolerant of dry conditions but growth is restricted in these conditions.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.Remove dead foliage and cut back in spring if plants become tall.  Cutting all foliage off is fine as the plant will regrow from the stem.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2 m H x 1.2m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These are tube-stock plants, with the benefit of being a young plant they will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
