Asplenium antiquum cristata - crested bird's nest fern

DESCRIPTION: Grand Australian native fern featuring large crested fronds growing from the centre creating a natural bird's nest
USE IN: Plant as a feature in lush tropical style gardens. Suited to containers and indoor gardens.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in a shaded location, indoor plants may need to be rotated for optimum health. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes.
CARE: Keep moist during dry periods. Ferns thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. Re-pot container plants only if they are outgrowing their pots. Protect from frost.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  1.2 m H x 1.5 m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
