Striking foliage plant for indoors or tropical gardens. Compact-growing, ideal for underplanting. Herringbone patterned leaves are silver-green above, purple below - this variety Amagris is more silvery-grey than the regular species form, very attractive. Ctenanthe burle marxii -wishbone plant

DESCRIPTION: Tropical foliage plant, leaves are squoval in shape, with striking herringbone patterning in dark green on green-grey, with purple undersides. Compact and low-growing.
USES: Ideal container plant for a shaded patio, accent planting in tropical gardens, or indoors. Suited to underplanting. 
PLANTING: Plant in a shady spot with indirect sunlight. Prefers moisture-retaining soil or a good quality potting mix. Enjoys a humid air.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low. Apply a slow release fertiliser yearly and liquid feed every three months for vibrant healthy foliage. Pruning isn't required, simply remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up.
