Native neat pretty ground cover with petite mauve and white flowers. Ideal lawn substitute in under-plantings beneath trees, and in shaded spots.

Tuck it between pavers for a soft green pathway. Try it in hanging baskets and windowboxes.

Viola hederacea, Viola banksii - native violet

APPEARANCE : Spreading native groundcover with kidney shaped leaves; white five-petalled flowers with mauve centres stand proud of foliage on slender stems.
ORIGIN : Native. Found in the wild from south east QLD to southern NSW
USE FOR Rockeries, mass planting groundcover, beneath trees, shady borders, cottage gardens, windowboxes, hanging baskets and pots, between pavers.
PLANTING : Plant in a sunny to shaded location in loose-free draining soil. Very adaptable especially in shaded sites with regular water.
CARE : Provide plenty of water during the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established and regularly in dry periods. Feed with liquid fertiliser monthly during spring and summer for lush coverage.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 5-15cm H x up to 2m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
