Reinwardtia indica - yellow flax
DESCRIPTION: Bushy evergreen shrub with lush foliage and sunny yellow flowers through winter.
USE IN: Plant as a low border/hedge or as a single specimen. Suited to container planting.
LOCATION: Plant in a full sun position in the garden in well drained soil. Native to the foothills of the Himalayas, Yellow Flax tolerates cool conditions but will need protection from heavy frost.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Remove spent flowers and prune after flowering to promote dense growth and more prolific flowering the following season. Fertilise using a slow release fertiliser following pruning.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 1m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
