Syzygium australe 'Winter Lights'
DESCRIPTION: Fast growing Lilly Pilly with dazzling bronze, orange and red new growth after pruning. Small white flowers are followed by edible purple fruit during spring and summer.
USE IN: Native gardens as a screening and formal hedging plant, may also be used as a topiary or bonsai specimen. Attracts native fauna.
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Hardy shrub, tolerates light frost and dry conditions once established. Psyllid resistant variety.
CARE: Prune at least three times a year once established to encourage dense growth and flushes of new foliage. We encourage tip pruning these plants when young for maximum bushiness. Apply a native slow release fertiliser during spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 3-4 m H x 2-3m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These are tube-stock plants, with the benefit of being a young plant they will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
