Syzygium australe 'Superior' - lilly pilly

APPEARANCE :  Compact and fast growing small-leafed foliage that emerges with a copper tinge when new. Grows to a slender conical shape if unpruned  White flowers and edible pink berries.
USE FOR: Excellent for hedging, shaping, screening and as a pot specimen. 
PLANTING: Tolerates most positions and conditions but would benefit with mulching and fertilising at the time of planting in a well drained soil.  Ideal in full sun.
CARE: Tough and will tolerate light frosts. Mulch and keep watered until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Tip prune while young to encourage dense foliage growth, prune twice yearly or as required once fully established.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 3m H but can be clipped to preferred height, 2-3m W tapering.
