Climbing tomato producing heaps of medium-large fruit. Plant against a trellis for plenty of support when fruiting. Harvest 12-14 weeks from sowing. If you prefer to grow organically try companion planting with marigolds or chives, the natural oils help to deter unwanted pest visitors.

DESCRIPTION: Popular home garden variety suited to growing along wired fences and trellises. Grosse Lisse plants produce a bumper yield of medium-large rounded tomatoes.
PLANTING: Spring-Summer and Winter in warmer areas. Sow seeds directly into their final position or into seedling trays. Transplant when seedlings are easily handled, 10-15cm. Now is the ideal time to place the stakes in the soil to avoid disturbing the root system later on. A full sun location in free draining soil is ideal. For smaller gardens grow bags are perfect, place on a sunny balcony to enjoy a bumper crop.
USE IN: Almost anywhere in the kitchen! Ideal grilled, in salads, sauces and sandwiches. The perfect partner to basil and pasta for a quick supper.
CARE: Water seedlings daily until established and follow up with regular water especially during dry periods. Pinch out lower water shoots and keep two main stems. Use stakes to support plants and fruit as they mature. Mulch plants and apply liquid fertiliser regularly for best results. Protect plants from frost. If insects are a ever a problem use an organic insecticide like eco-oil , it's safe to use on veggies!
