Frost Tolerant Plants

Southern states of Australia, and gardens at higher altitude, can enjoy a range of plants that other parts of Australia would struggle to grow (looking at you, daffodils!). If you live somewhere that gets winter frost, or definite seasons, then these plants will tolerate frost, when mature.

If you get more than a couple of days hard frost in a row, or temperatures below -5C, choose our FROST HARDY plants

IMPORTANT : New tubestock plants should be protected from frost, until they have developed a woody stem, or are much larger in size. Good drainage will help plants survive cold; don't let roots sit in wet soil.
