Attractive foliage; compact size, neat and versatile; abundant clusters of dainty pale lilac-white flowers; and dark bronze-red new leaves which mature to glossy green. Imperial Jezebel butterflies love the flower nectar. This has got a lot to recommend it!

Abelia x grandiflora (Linnaea x grandiflora) 'Nana'
APPEARANCE : Compact, low growing shrub with bold dark bronze-red new foliage becoming glossy green as it matures. Features clusters of soft mauve flowers throughout most of the year.
USE FOR : Suited to small gardens, containers and rambling cottage gardens. Attracts butterflies.
PLANTING : Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Tolerates dry periods once established. Frost tolerant.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering, fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring.
