Native wattle with distinctive leaves - more like a shark's tooth or flint knap than a modern knife. It's naturalised in many countries around the world which reflects its easygoing and adaptable nature. Very resilient, heaps of golden flowers, and a ripper erosion control plant.

Acacia cultriformis - knife leaf wattle

APPEARANCE :  Fast-growing native wattle shrub from QLD and NSW, with triangular blue-grey leaves and covered in deep golden ball flowers from late winter to late spring. Can be large and a bit sprawly in some locations, neater and more upright in others.
USE FOR : Tall privacy screen, dense hedging, feature shrub in native gardens.and can withstand coastal conditions.
PLANTING : Plant in any well-drained soil in full sun. Non-invasive roots that are useful for erosion control. Frost-hardy, drought tolerant.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks, and protect from frost while young. Responds well to pruning if you need to - use the branches for decor indoors; apply a slow release native fertiliser afterwards to promote healthy growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  2-4m H x 2m W.
