Tough little battler, thrives in most soils except winter clay, rock-solid frost hardy, loves full sun, and comes back year after year. This variety has richly-coloured deep pink-red flowers that you will love.
Achillea millefolium 'Cerise Queen' - red yarrow
DESCRIPTION: Compact bushy perennial with feathery soft leaves and deep pink-red flat clusters of flowers. An ideal addition to a cottage style garden and vegetable patch.PLANTING: Sow seeds in Spring or after frost directly into final position or in seed trays/pots, and keep moist and shaded. Barely cover the seeds with soil. Thin plants one they develop 2-4 leaves and are easily handled. Plant in good quality soil for best flowering; grows in most free-draining soils.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and continue to provide water especially during dry spells. Mulch plants to keep the shallow roots cool in summer. For an extra long flowering season, remove spent blooms and feed with liquid fertiliser. Cut scruffy winter foliage back in early spring as new shoots start to emerge.
