The low wide one. Like the softest deepest shag pile carpet you can imagine, this low-lying woolly bush will cover your rockeries in a tumble of silvery-grey, frosted with lime and copper tips. 

Although it's prostrate, it can rise up pretty high so you can clip this one to a stepover hedge if that's your bag, or prune out any upright stems to encourage the waterfall profile. 

Like its big relatives, this prefers light sandy free-draining soil, dry air, sunny sites

Adenanthos x cunninghamii prostrate - Albany woolly bush, boyur

APPEARANCE:  WA coastal native shrub, hybrid of A.sericeus and A.cuneatus; soft lime-grey-green hair-like leaves cover the stems. New growth is a peachy-sandy colour providing an attractive contrast. Will occasionally flower in spring with extremely tiny red flowers at the tips of the stems.
USE FOR: Mixed garden planting, feature shrubs, native and coastal gardens, native low hedges, wildlife gardens.
CLIMATE : Prefers a Mediterranean climate with dry summers, so better suited to southern states or inland locations.
PLANTING: Full sun to part shade in well-drained sandy or gravelly soils with neutral to low acid pH.
CARE: Water regularly until the plant is established. Very lightly prune if you need to shape it; feed annually with low-phosphorus native plant food.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.5 m H x 1-2m W average.
