Agapanthus orientalis 'Blue' APPEARANCE: Seed grown blue flowering variety which gives subtle variation in colour and height. Agapanthus are clumping plants with long strappy leaves and large rounded blooms on long stems. USE FOR: Elegant, stately and architecturally pleasing, great for massed plantings in the garden for colour through summer. Excellent bank binders. PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden for maximum flowering period. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. CARE: Prune spent flowers to encourage dense growth habit and continued flowering. Reapply mulch and apply a slow release fertiliser during spring. Hardy and low maintenance.
