Agapanthus orientalis 'Blue'
APPEARANCE : Seed grown blue flowering variety which gives subtle variation in colour and height.  Agapanthus are clumping plants with long strappy leaves and large rounded blooms on long stems.
USE FOR: Elegant, stately and architecturally pleasing, great for massed plantings in the garden for colour through summer. Excellent bank binders.
CLIMATE : Protect from frost. Drought tolerant.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to part shade in the garden for maximum flowering period. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE : Agapanthus are hardy and low maintenance. Remove spent flowers to encourage dense growth habit and continued flowering, and prevent self-seeding. Reapply mulch in winter to protect roots from frost; and apply a slow release fertiliser during spring.   Lift and divide when clumps get too large.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.5 m H x 0.8 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
