We're not sure what the words of this aloe's Christmas Carol are - all we know is it's not the traditional baby jesus, wooly lambs, frosty nights and candles twinkling...
Perhaps there's a carol about volcanic lava flows, hellfire, and flaming swords. That would suit this devilishly handsome little aloe, darkly slate purple and bedecked with sharp blood-red teeth. Definitely on Santa's naughty list.

Aloe hybrid 'Christmas Carol'
APPEARANCE : Small compact low-growing succulent with pointed leaves, green turning dark purple in sun. Leaves are edged with red teeth and on mature plants, raised red spots on the leaf surface. Happy mature plants product long slender stems of coral red bell flowers.USE FOR: In pots indoors and out, waterwise gardens, rockeries, dry sunny borders.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in pots or out in the garden. Colour is strongest in sun but this aloe appreciates some filtered shade from overhead midsummer sun. Protect plants from frost.
CARE: Aloe plants require little water and are drought tolerant Fertilise during spring with an organic liquid feed mixed at half rate. If potted plants become crowded as pups develop, remove young plants and share with neighbours or re-pot.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 10 cm H x 15-20 cm W.
