Pink thrift is a ripper little plant for dry windy inhospitable conditions. It grows in cracks in pavements, It grows on sea cliffs, it grows in rockeries and on roof gardens. It grows in full sun and in frost and snow. If you have a place that's struggling for colour, pop a couple in and see how you go.

Armeria maritima 'Rosea' - pink thrift, sea thrift

APPEARANCE:  Hardy, mat-forming, coastal evergreen with grass-like leaves and vibrant pink papery globe flowers. Colour may vary from rose pink to deeper pink.
USE IN: Rockeries, exposed locations, coastal gardens, rooftop gardens as well as garden borders.
LOCATION: Full sun, free draining soil of any kind. The common name of thrift refers to the plant's ability to thrive in poor environments. Frost, wind and salt tolerant.
CARE: Provide plenty of water during the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established; water in very dry periods after that. Feed with liquid fertiliser monthly during spring and summer for lush coverage.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  Up to 50cm H x Up to 50cm W.
