Boronia Mirabelle
Mirabelle is a delicious sweet variety of French plum, and Mirabelle Boronia is a delicious sweet plum colour, with tiny tinkling bells in late winter and early spring when gardens need an extra pop of colour.
Aromatic foliage year-round and a neat compact hip-high size makes this ideal for almost every garden space. Native boronias like light moist neutral-acid soil, dappled shade, extra water in hot spells.
Flower images : Helix Australia.
Boronia 'Purple Jared' x 'Flamingo' 'Mirabelle' PBR KPB134
APPEARANCE :  Compact slender native flowering shrub with small evergreen aromatic leaves, and lightly scented deep pink rounded bell-shaped flowers in winter-spring. Hybrid offspring of B.heterophylla and B.pulchella, bred by Kings Park & Botanic Gardens.
USE FOR : Native and cottage gardens, large pots, wildlife gardens.
CLIMATE : Tolerates a light frost.
PLANTING: Plant in a sheltered spot in dappled shade. Free-draining slightly acid soil with plenty of organic matter will give best results. Mulch tubestock with gravel after planting to regulate soil temperatures and keep roots cool and moist as the young plant establishes.
CARE : Water regularly - don't let plants dry out or become waterlogged. A prune once flowering has finished will help give the plant shape and encourage new growth - make it easier by cutting flowering stems to enjoy indoors. Follow with an application of a slow release fertiliser for natives, and fresh mulch.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60cm H x 60cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
