We know how much you love our Golden Glow buddleia so if you have the space you'll fall in love with Sungold. It's much bigger all around (almost twice the size) and such a good garden plant it's got the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Heat tolerant, frost hardy, drought tolerant, fast growing, butterfly attracting - it's got it all. Doesn't like rich acid soils, much prefers a free-draining alkaline soil to make itself at home in.

Description

Buddleja x weyeriana 'Sungold'

APPEARANCE : Fast growing shrub flowering from summer through to late autumn with pompom clusters of golden yellow honey-scented flowers.
USE FOR : Mixed beds and borders, kitchen gardens, as a loose open hedge. Attracts bird life, butterflies and bees to your garden.
CLIMATE : Slightly less cold hardy than other buddleias, still ok to -10C
PLANTING: Plant in full sun and free draining soil, mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Prune late winter in warmer climates, early spring after frost in cold ones, to encourage flowering stems. Fertilise in spring using a slow release fertiliser, give an extra boost during the summer heat using eco-seaweed.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 4 m H x 4m W. Taller in warmer regions.
