A beautiful eyecatching calathea that you can grow for its pink flowers as much as for its brightly patterned leaves. The flowers held on long stems above the foliage so you can enjoy them better, and the leaves keep their bright colours all year round.

Description

Calathea 'Bicajoux Pink' - rose-painted calathea, peacock plant

DESCRIPTION: Tropical low-growing foliage plant with dark green round-oval leaves deeply margined in silver green. Flowers in pale pink on happy mature plants.
USES: Indoor plant, tropical accent planting in shaded borders.
PLANTING: Plant in a shady spot with indirect sunlight. Prefers moisture-retaining soil or a good quality potting mix. Needs temperatures over 15C and enjoys humidity.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low, and wipe the leaves gently with a damp cloth to free them of dust. Apply a nitrogen rich slow release fertiliser every three months for vibrant healthy foliage.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30 - 45cm H x 40 - 60cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, young healthy plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. These are shipped inside pots for protection in transit.
