Flowering annual pot marigold with super-citrussy quilled flowers just like a baby porcupine or echidna! Tall variety with long stems good for cutting.

Calendula is traditionally used for home dyeing, herbal medicines, cooking and teas. Big seeds - easy for kids to sow as an introduction to gardening.

DESCRIPTION: Sun loving annual, abundant large double flowers with rolled petals in deep orange. Suited to cottage gardens, potted colour, borders. Long stems for cutting. World Botanics heritage variety
PLANTING: Sow seeds directly into garden beds or seed raising mix late Summer to early Winter. Add a slow release fertiliser to the soil prior to planting. Plant in free draining soil in a full sun location.
CARE:  Easy care plant. Water seedlings regularly until established and during extended dry periods. Apply liquid fertiliser regularly for best results. Remove spent flowers to prolong the flowering season.
