Westringia fruticosa 'Aussie Box'®
APPEARANCE : Ozbreed variety. Native compact hedging shrub with a dense rounded habit and small leaves. Mauve-pink flowers throughout spring/summer.USE FOR : Suited to formal gardens when clipped, or leave to grow naturally for cottage style gardens. Establishes quickly and requires less water than traditional European box hedging plants.
PLANTING : Full sun to light shade. Suits most soil types, prefers free draining soils. Avoid wet feet or depressed planting areas where water can pool. Tolerates frost and drought.
CARE : Water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Add slow release fertiliser in spring. Leave unpruned in its natural shape or prune to shape after flowering.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : to 1m H x 1m W without pruning; will clip to half that.
