Feathery soft plumes of flowers, bright scarlet against maroon-green foliage, blaze for weeks on these annual plants. Gardeners have been growing them for over 400 years, which is the best recommendation. Originally from tropical Africa so should feel right at home in the humid heat of coastal Australia.
