Kerryn is a bigger-sized waxflower shrub with long stems perfect for cutting to enjoy indoors, and she flowers later than other varieties giving you an extended season of native colour. Lovely warm pink open flowers in a range of tones. Kerryn will tolerate a hotter drier climate so try this one in outback gardens.

Most of our waxflowers are usually available for sale late January-early February onwards until they sell out.

Description

Chamelaucium uncinatum 'Kerryn' PBR - Geraldton Wax, waxflower

APPEARANCE : Flowering native shrub with fine evergreen foliage, long stems, vigorous growing. Red winter buds open into heaps of of large single dark pink flowers with maroon centres.
USE FOR : Suited to native and cottage style gardens and large containers. Makes a beautiful cut flower, trim a few stems and enjoy them indoors.
CLIMATE : Tolerates light frost and is drought resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
PLANTING : Plant in free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden, best flowering is achieved in full sun. Suitable to exposed areas in most parts of Australia. Tolerates light frost and is drought and heat resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season, avoid cutting into old wood. Fertilise yearly using a slow release native fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2-3m H x 1.5 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
