You will be smiling at the sight of these yellow buttons! This hardy native compact plant has soft-touch silver foliage, way bigger than the common yellow buttons, and very silver, almost white in sunshine. You can see the size and colour difference in the image gallery.

Silver Sunburst loves full sun, needs little care once established, and is perfect for rockeries, borders or pots.

Masses of bright golden-yellow button flowers through the warmer months are great for attracting butterflies and bringing a cheery splash of colour to the garden all year round.

Description

Chrysocephalum apiculatum Silver Sunburst - yellow buttons

APPEARANCE: Native ground cover with softly textured silver foliage and small sunny yellow flowers late spring and summer.
USES: Perfect for rockeries, borders and mass planting as a ground cover. cut and bring indoors to enjoy.
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun position in the garden to maximise flowering, though will tolerate part shade. Tolerates hot conditions with regular watering. Plant in well drained soil. Found all over Australia so will adapt and grow in almost any soil and climate.
CARE: Mulch and water well during establishment. Apply a slow release native fertiliser early spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30-40cm H x 30-50cm W.
