Attractive evergreen citrus tree with sweet blossom and thin-skinned seedless sweet fruits - refreshing in cocktails, delicious in Asian and Caribbean dishes, and tangy in tarts and pies. Use green, or when the skins of fruits start to turn yellow.

Description

Citrus x latifolia - 'Tahitian' lime

APPEARANCE : Medium height bushy tree. Deep green leaves, small scented white blossoms, round thin-skinned fruits, yellow when ripe but usually picked and used green.
USE FOR : Feature planting, orchards and kitchen gardens, privacy hedging.
CLIMATE : Frost free. Variety suits the Australian climate.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun and well drained soil in a sheltered spot for maximum fruits.
CARE: Low maintenance, doesn't need pruning unless to trim to shape. Feed annually, and if pest damage occurs spray with a safe treatment like Eco-Oil.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : to 3m x 3 m. Keep at desired height with regular pruning.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
