Cordyline australis 'Seipin' PBR 'Pink Passion'
APPEARANCE : A fountain of slender fairly stiff strappy leaves, dark brown with plum-pink edges, emerging from a central trunk. The leaves twist along the vertical, to add movement. Every purchase donates 20 cents to National Breast Cancer FoundationUSE FOR : Accent and feature plant, pops of colour in a mixed bed, ideal for pots and planters.
CLIMATE : Surprisingly tolerant of dry conditions but growth is restricted in these conditions. Should come through an overnight frost once established.
PLANTING : Cordylines are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade. Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Remove any dead foliage and cut back in spring if plants become tall. Cutting foliage off is fine as the plant will regrow from the stem.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.8 m H x 1.8m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
