Cotoneaster dammeri - bearberry cotoneaster

DESCRIPTION: Low growing vigorous groundcover. Small dark green leaves, tiny white flowers followed by red berries through autumn winter. Pronounced k-tone-ee-ASter
USE IN: Groundcover and mass planting. Tough and resilient.
LOCATION: Adaptable as to soil, sunlight, climate. Completely frost-hardy to -20C. May self-seed through bird distribution but easy enough to pull out.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune and apply a native controlled release fertiliser after flowering to promote dense growth habit.
