Warm purple form of our popular hardy white cuphea. Tiny flowers throughout the year cover this charming and tough groundcover plant.
Ideal for rockeries, ground cover, pots and baskets. Mix up with our other cupheas for a more interesting mass planting.
Cuphea hyssopifolia Mauve
APPEARANCE : Tiny pink-purple flowers on a compact ground-cover that grows in a fountain of layers. Flowers throughout most of the year.USE FOR : Ideal for low stepover hedges, borders and rockeries for a splash of colour. Mass underplanting. Suitable for pots and baskets. Excellent for attracting beneficial pollinators.
CLIMATE : Frost free
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade in free-draining soil rich in organic matter for best results, though it is forgiving of poor dry soils.
CARE : Mulch and water well, prune to encourage new growth and maintain shape. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser twice yearly.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 45 cm H 45 cm W.
