Warm purple form of our popular hardy white cuphea. Tiny flowers throughout the year cover this charming and tough groundcover plant. Ideal for rockeries, ground cover, pots and baskets. Mix up with our other cupheas for a more interesting mass planting. If you're coming to the nursery to collect your plants, you'll see cuphea mauve planted on the driveway at the base of our Reception sign.
Cuphea hyssopifolia Mauve
APPEARANCE: Tiny pink-purple flowers on a compact ground-cover that grows in a fountain of layers. Flowers throughout most of the year.USES: Perfect bordering plant and is also suited to rockeries as it is very hardy. Suitable for pots. Excellent beneficial pollinator attractor.
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to part shade position in free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune to encourage new growth and maintain shape. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser twice yearly.
