Diascias are gorgeous little plants, full of seasonal colour and always happy to flower for you at the front of garden borders, in windowboxes and baskets, threaded through rockeries, and in pots on your patio,

Lilac Belle is a warm sunwashed lilac-pink which blends beautifully with pastels, sunny citrus shades, and pure white to fit into any colour scheme. It's got the RHS Award of Garden Merit so you can plant in confidence.

Masses of flowers like miniature pansies attract bees and butterflies to feast; clip the plants after first flowering and more buds will emerge for a show that lasts through the warmer months.

Description

Diascia 'Lilac Belle'

APPEARANCE : Low-growing herbaceous or semi-evergreen mat-forming perennial. Purple-pink open flowers with a large lower petal from summer to early autumn. This variety has the RHS Award of Garden Merit
USE FOR : Cottage gardens, mixed borders and flowerbeds, rockeries, hanging baskets, potted colour.
CLIMATE : Tolerates light frost.
PLANTING : Plant in light free-draining soil, especially in cooler climates, in a sunny position or dappled shade.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until the plant establishes. Water in prolonged dry periods. Clip hard back after first flowering to promote a second flush - for large areas you can do this with shears. Clip last year's old stems back in spring, when new leaf growth starts. Fertilise monthly in summer, to keep the flowers blooming.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 15-30cm H x 30-50cm W.
