Leave it be and it's a colourful informal hedge and nectar-rich refuge for wildlife. Shape it twice-yearly and it's a neat feature shrub and colourful addition to your cottage garden.

Eremophila hybrid Thriverâ„¢'Erem01' PBR intended - emu bush
APPEARANCE :Native shrub with small slender green leaves and vibrant pink-purple speckled tubular flowers which emerge from orange-red buds throughout the year, peaking in spring and autumn.USE FOR : Native gardens, wildlife gardens, winter gardens, exposed locations, feature shrub. Can be pruned to half its height if needed.
CLIMATE : Tolerates TAS and VIC frost, SA and WA dry spells, NSW and SEQLD humidity once established. Will also withstand occasional seasonal flooding.
PLANTING :Grows in any well-drained soil, from sand to clay. In heavier soils add some grit or other material to help with drainage. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes.
CARE : Lightly prune after flowering in spring and in early autumn to give your plant a neat shape. Otherwise hard prune almost to the ground every 4 or 5 years to maintain health and bushiness. Follow pruning with an application of a native slow release fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.5 - 2 m H x 1.5 - 2 m W.
