APPEARANCE: Popular indoor plant, or subtropical rainforest tree, with very large thick glossy leaves each with a central rib. Tineke is a variegated form, green leaves are patterned with cream and brown-pink.
USE IN:  Easycare indoor, container or tropical plant. Needs a sheltered frost-free spot and a big pot when mature.
CARE: Mulch and water with a seaweed based fertiliser on planting, follow with regular watering until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Apply a slow release fertiliser twice yearly and protect from frost. Potted plants may need extra feed and a repot into fresh soil once a year. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to keep them healthy and dust-free; plants grown indoors will appreciate an occasional mist spray to increase humidity.

YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
