Gaura lindheimeri , Oenothera lindheimeri pinkAPPEARANCE : Herbaceous bushy perennial of Texas and Louisiana. Long slender stems with musk-pink butterfly-like flowers all along from spring until first frost. Note : In the winter the leaves sometimes show coloured spots. This is an environmental reaction to temperature and nothing to worry about.
USE FOR : Mixed beds and borders, cottage gardens, meadow-style planting, waterwise gardens.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun with well draining soil. Mulch and water on a regular basis, until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Drought tolerant once mature; frost tolerant but may need mulching in snow zones in winter.
CARE: For an extra long flowering season, remove spent blooms and feed with liquid fertiliser. Plants flower better when they have been in place a year or two. Cutting plants hard back after flowering will prevent them self seeding.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 50-150 cm H x 50 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
