Grevillea x caleyi 'Ivanhoe'

APPEARANCE: Vigorous native shrub spreading 3m high and 3-5m wide. Leaves are very toothed, flushed copper-brown in new growth, on long branching stems which start upright and develop to a horizontal position. Purple-red brush flowers spring through to autumn.
ORIGIN :G caleyi is endangered in its native wild home in Ku-ring-gai north of Sydney
USE FOR: Native wildlife garden, especially for attracting birdlife. Makes a good fast-growing hedge or screen. Grown for cut foliage
CLIMATE: Very suitable for southern and inland parts of Australia where it is cooler. Reasonably frost hardy, tolerates humidity in our Sunshine Coast nursery.
PLANTING: Plant in well drained soil in full sun to enjoy maximum flowering; will also grow in part shade.
CARE:  Prune to control growth if needed. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%..
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 3m H x 3-5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
