Grevillea Parakeet Pink - grafted
Low, rounded Parakeet Pink fills the garden with soft pastel pink flowers most of the year, attracting honey-feeding birds and adding a splash of colour. You wouldn't think one of its parents was the popular vibrant orange tree grevillea Honey Gem!
Tough, low-maintenance and compact, it’s great for feature spots, garden beds, or even big pots.
Note : Our Parakeet Pinks are grafted grevilleas, unlike most of our other varieties. Grafting joins the main plant to another, more robust or adaptable, rootstock. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. Read more here
Grevillea 'Misty Pink' x 'Honey Gem' ‘Parakeet Pink’ PBR
APPEARANCE: Compact rounded grevillea, soft pink blooms cover the plant for most of the year.USE FOR: Great for adding year-round colour to garden beds, borders or large pots. Feature planting; native gardens, for birdlife.
CLIMATE : Frost free
PLANTING: Prefers a warm, full sun position in the garden and is relatively hardy once established. Plant in well drained soil, mulch well and water regularly until the plant is established. Apply a native plant fertiliser yearly. Note : this is a grafted grevillea, unlike our other varieties. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. The tape securing the graft point is biodegradable and should dissolve by the time the graft is complete.
CARE: Prune after flowering if necessary, to promote new growth and flowering.
