Grevillea Silvereye Cream - grafted
Creamy lemon flowers bloom for most of the year, attracting birds* and adding colour to your garden. A great pairing or alternative for the popular Moonlight, as it is a similar shade and about half the height.
Grafted for strong, reliable growth, it’s tough, low-maintenance and perfect for beds. We love it!
(*Cute Silvereye birds not included in purchase, you'll have to spot those in the wild)
Note : Our Silvereye Creams are grafted grevilleas, unlike most of our other varieties. Grafting joins the main plant to another, more robust or adaptable, rootstock. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. Read more here
Grevillea 'Misty Pink' x 'Honey Gem' 'Silvereye Cream' PBR
APPEARANCE : Soft silvery-green feathery foliage topped with 18cm long creamy lemon flowers that bloom almost year round. Slightly deeper colour than Moonlight, with a more slender flowerUSE FOR : Wildlife gardens attracting honey-feeding birds and insects and native gardens. Add to your native garden or as a focal piece in a large pot
CLIMATE: Heat and drought tolerant once established.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun for maximum flowering. Prefers free draining sandy soil. Note : this is a grafted grevillea, unlike our other varieties. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. The tape securing the graft point is biodegradable and should dissolve by the time the graft is complete.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to promote flowering, dense habit and control growth. A hard prune each 3-4 years will result in a fresh flush of flowers and foliage. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1-2m H x 1.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
