Satiny paper blooms in pure white only, to enjoy fresh and dried - they make a longlasting cut flower. Happy to grow in even the poorest soils, stands up to summer heat. Heaps of seeds for great value gardening.
Helichrysum white - everlasting, paper daisy, strawflower
DESCRIPTION: Tall flowering annual plant with satiny papery white blooms. Flowerheads will dry. Suited to hot dry sunny sites with good drainage. PLANTING: Sow in autumn right through Australia; plus spring in cooler regions, winter in tropical regions, at 20-25C. Sow on soil surface and press down gently. Add a slow-release fertiliser when sowing. CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and continue to provide water especially during dry spells. For an extra long flowering season, remove spent blooms.
