Paniculata hydrangeas are loved for their huge flowerheads, and Mojito gives you a tall frosty tumbler-full of vivid lime green flowers; adding a maraschino cherry in autumn, when they shade into blush pink as the days cool.

Petite shrubs for amazing unusual colour on your deck or in your flowerbeds, in almost any moist soil; they're sun tolerant and frost hardy too. Regular watering and an annual prune is all they need.

Hydrangea paniculataGRHP10 PBR 'Mojito'

APPEARANCE : Soft-leaved shrub with big (to 25cm!) conical flowerheads from late spring through to early autumn changing from vivid lime green to cream-white, then turning pale blush pink in autumn.
CLIMATE : Frost hardy, heat and sun tolerant.
USE FOR : Ideal for cottage gardens, woodland style gardens, feature planting, autumn colour, pots and containers.
PLANTING : Hydrangeas prefer a sheltered, partly shaded or shady position, in rich soil, and plenty of water during dry periods.
CARE : Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established, and during dry spells after that. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring. Paniculata hydrangeas can be lightly pruned to remove dead wood and old flowerheads; or for more prolific blooms cut back old stems to a low pair of buds in late winter-early spring as growth starts again.
