Pia is a Permanently Pink Hydrangea, so whatever soil you plant it in, it will stay this vibrant colour (unlike many other hydrangeas which change colour according to the acidity of the soil.) It's very cold hardy, slow-growing so it won't get too big to quickly, needs little pruning other than a post-flowering deadhead, and even makes a lovely indoor plant. We love Pia Mina for its compact size, cold tolerance, pink flowers whatever the soil pH

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Pia Mina'
APPEARANCE : Dwarf deciduous shrub with big soft light green leaves and big, deep rose-pink flower clusters. Colour is consistent regardless of the soil pH, and deepens as the flowers open and mature.USE FOR : Ideal for cottage gardens, woodland style gardens, mixed beds, large containers.
PLANTING : Hydrangeas prefer a partly shaded position in the garden, rich soil, and plenty of water during dry periods. Frost tender.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring. Protect from harsh sunlight. Macrophyllas flower on old wood so site them carefully to give them space to grow. Prune them by deadheading spent flowers back to a leaf joint.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 90cm H x 90cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
