Kalanchoe thyrsiflora 'Bronze Sculpture' - succulent - flapjacks, paddle plant, hotlips
DESCRIPTION: Easy care succulent with large oval flat grey-green leaves, each rimmed with brick-red, covered in a farina or floury protective coating. The leaves are arranged in an upright rosette. Happy mature plants will grow a flower spike with smaller leaves along it and tiny yellow-cream scented flowers.
USES: Ornamental plant ideal in well lit areas
PLANTING: Plant in free draining or even rocky soil in pots or out in the garden, taking care to keep the crown above the soil. Suited to full sun where it will develop more colour. Protect plants from frost.
CARE: Like most succulents, require little water. Weekly watering during the warmer months will keep plants looking lush. Fertilise during spring with an organic liquid feed mixed at half rate. If potted plants become crowded as pups develop, remove young plants and share with neighbours or re-pot.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60cm H (1m in flower) x 60cm W.
