You don't need to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to grow this stunning silver-leaved plant. The silver colour shines in Aussie sunshine, it needs almost no maintenance, and it's a lightweight when it comes to drinking - perfect for waterwise gardens.
Kalanchoe hildebrandtii 'Silver Spoons'
APPEARANCE : Shrubby succulent with large oval leaves, silvery grey with long curved stems giving the appearance of spoons. Happy mature plants send up a long stem topped with tiny white bell-shaped flowers.USE FOR: Anywhere sunny you can enjoy the leaf colour. Quite happy in containers. Waterwise gardens, rockeries, and firewise gardens.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining or even rocky soil in pots or out in the garden. Suited to full sun where it will develop more colour. Likes a temperature over 10C.
CARE: Like most succulents, requires little water. Weekly watering during the warmer months will keep plants looking lush. Fertilise during spring with an organic liquid feed mixed at half rate.
